Vein Reduction
Vein Reduction / Pigmented Lesion Removal (8 HOURS)
This world-class vein reduction seminar provides students with both classroom theory and hands-on clinical practice regarding small vessel/telangiectasia reduction. Students will also learn about the removal of isolated pigmented lesions, a highly in-demand service at medical spas all over the country. Mastering these procedures is key to enhancing a spa or clinic’s ability to provide the latest in age-reversing treatments.
What Sort of Therapies Are Performed?
Spider Veins are small blood vessels located near the surface of the skin. As they become dilated, they also become more visible, appearing as a single thread or as a cluster, like a spiderweb. While they are not essential for healthy circulation, they can cause discoloration of the skin and other cosmetic problems. With effective laser therapy, dilation can be reversed to reduce the overall appearance of the veins.
Pigmented lesions, on the other hand, are dark areas resulting from high concentrations of melanin in the skin. They are normally located in the dermal-epidermal junction, meaning they are wholly superficial. As they are the result of sun exposure, these pigmented lesions are also known as solar spots, age spots, freckles, and solar lentigines. With proper laser treatments, the appearance of these spots can be drastically reduced.

Other Skin Treatments
Avante Laser Training Institute is committed to ensuring our students get a well-rounded education regarding the latest laser treatment techniques.
One of the most in-demand treatments we see in our spa is skin tag removal. These are bits of skin or flesh-colored tissue that project from the surrounding skin via a small, narrow stalk. Some people call these growths "skin tabs" or barnacles. Skin tags typically occur in characteristic locations, including the base of the neck, underarms, eyelids, groin folds, and under the breasts. And though they vary in appearance, almost all skin tags can be treated with laser therapy.

Another condition we often see is known as sebaceous hyperplasia. Common in older adults, these are benign papules often located on the face – typically around the nose and forehead. A result of your sebaceous glands producing too much oil, they can manifest in a variety of different ways. At Avante Laser Training Institute, we can educate students on how best to reduce and eliminate these unsightly lesions.
